Blimey that was a close finish we looked suspect in defence towards the end of the game, I honestly thought we were going to concede a 2nd goal but we hung on. Well we are through to the next round,, any idea of our opponents?

Here is our report which will go on the site today. Must say really pleased with the teams development. Despite some sqeaky bum time in the last ten they dug in and got the result our overall play deserved. We look a far better side now. Gutted I'm missing the Sporting Bengal game but will there with bells on for the Beckenham one a week Saturday.
LSC Result: Fish Swim into 2nd Round
Fisher FC 2 Hassan 14, Grant 43
Kingsbury London Tigers 1 Hendrix 78
5th October 2009 - Champion Hill Stadium Attendance 74
Fisher emerged victorious in their first ever cup game after since reforming in the summer. The Fish were the better side in the first half and worked tirelessly for each other. Even though top scorer Elstrom Die was missing through injury the home side still had enough about them to race into a two goal lead. Tasser Hassan continued his fine form this season with a terrific free kick on the edge of the area with just 14 minutes on the clock. Hassan's shot sailed over the wall and into the top right hand corner leaving the Tigers custodian grasping at thin air. The hosts continued to boss the first half and Lloyd Boateng was unlucky to be judged offside glancing home a header from just three yards out on the half hour mark. Fisher made their superiority count just two minutes before the break when more Hassan trickery sent the winger clear in the box who squared for Wayne Grant to make no mistake from close range.
The Tigers came out for the second half with intent and finally got the reward for their second half dominance when Hendrix pounced on poor Fisher defending to slide the ball passed Lisney with 12 minutes left. This set up a nervy finish for the home side but Gary Lisney's team held on to ease their way into the second round where they will travel to either Harringey Borough or Erith & Belvedere.
Chairman Martin Eede commented; 'I'm very pleased with this win. This is a competition that is held in high esteem by all associated with Fisher FC and we want to go as far as we can. You could see it is just as important to the players and their workrate and commitment was second to none. The team are enjoying their football and that's very important. I'm hearing nice things from the players about how happy they are here at Fisher. Morale is good and it's plain for all to see the team are improving with every game.'
Speaking about Elstrom Die's absence from last nights team, Eede said; 'Elstrom suffered a head injury in a friendly at Barkingside on Saturday but I'm confident he should be ok for this weekends game at Sporting Bengal. Like the rest of the squad he's enjoying his time here.'
Next match: Sporting Bengal Away - Mile End Stadium: October 10th 3pm KO Next Home Game: Sevonoaks Town (Kent Premier League) - Monday October 19th: 7:45pm KO
