Fish were excellent. Elstrom will take the plaudits for the hat-trick, and so he should - all goals were expertly finished and he had a lot of work to do for all three. No tap-ins these.
But the rest of the side were impressive too. We looked vulnerable at the back before half-time, but that was sorted out at the break and the second half was relatively comfortable.
Sprosen looked good in left-midfield where he also played at Corinthians, he gets a bit more room to play the creative role which I think suits him as at this stage he isn't quite cut out for a central position. Skipper Hollidge was excellent, leading by example in an all-action performance.
It's fair to say E&B aren't a great side, but Fisher were the better side by far and things really seem to be coming together.

Well done Fish! Gutted I was working so had to miss it! Up to seventh now although the table is still unsettled. Some sides have only played two games vs our five! But still great result and four points over the weekend it's an excellent return. Relieved we've got some points on the board now and the enjoyment factor is slowly returning to the club.
Hoping our long decline has now bottomed out and we've got better days ahead.

Fisher were excellent value for the win yesterday. Elstrom was superb and gave the E&B defence a torrid afternoon. But agree with Dan about everyone else... and good team spirit was on display too. Adam Lisney did well between the sticks too - several crucial saves.
Impressed with the management too - took Elstrom off and allowed him to receive a good ovation from all at the ground, and managed to shore up the defence. A two goal lead is often harder to defend than a one-goal lead, but Fish remained resolute.
Let's enjoy a fantastic result and a historic moment!

Fantastic afternoon. It was very open in the early exchanges - it could and perhaps should have been 2-1 before the game was 10 mins old. We were the better team without doubt - had to weather a little storm before half-time when they were spurred on by the goal, and as mentioned Adam Lisney made a few good saves.
I had a good feeling that having gone in with our noses in front we were going to hold out, but was braced for some squeaky bum time - so it was a pleasant surprise indeed that we were really quite comfortable, with any doubts flattened by Elstrom's hat-trick sealing strike from a angle so acute no-one expected it (least of all the E&B 'keeper...).
As said, Elstrom deserves the praise for his fine finishing, but Andre was unlucky not to also be on the scoresheet there was good work throughout the team, the really pleasing thing being the regrouping at half time to come out and look really solid and resolute in the second half. More of the same please!

I accept that the half-time 'good feeling' alluded to above may have been more to do with a fourth drink on an empty stomach than any realism or genuine foresight on my part...
