The Kent League forum now saying Slade Green definitely gone.
Rumour is that Corinthians FC will replace them, based in Longfield, near Hartley.
Currently only playing junior age football but apparently with one of the best pitches around (and with lights). Again according to KL forum, they've been telling players to come down to training as they'll be playing KL football. Still some confusion about them being granted senior status PDQ but who knows.
Apparently they were started in the 70's by a millionaire so his sons could have a team to play in, and former players include Andy Hessenthaler and Jimmy Bullard.

And still there is no official word. Apparently though Slade Green are holding a meeting tonight so it should be a lot clearer by tomorrow morning....

Corinthian voted into the Kent League Premier tonight according to the league website.
They haven't been given a game this weekend so not jumping straight into Slade Green's slots. More news on fixtures later in the week.
Another trip to look forward to, supposed to be an excellent surface there.
